This data privacy policy informs you of the extent to which your personal data (hereinafter referred to as “Data”) is processed.
B. Data processing
We process Data in the course of operating our website.
This includes both disclosure by way of transmitting Data to third parties and, in some cases, to so-called third countries outside the European Union (“EU”) and the European Economic Area (“EEA”). If we transmit Data outside the EU or EEA, we have indicated same below.
a) Log file
We log your visits to our websites. The following Data is processed: the name of the website accessed, the date and time of such access, the volume of data transmitted, the identity and version of the browser, the operating system you use, the referrer URL (the site previously visited), your IP address and the inquiring provider. c)Contact, contractual performance and application processing
aa) By establishing contact with us using our contact form or email, your information – first and last names, email address, in some cases your telephone number, and your message – will be processed for the exclusive purpose of addressing and answering your inquiry.
The legal basis for such processing is the performance of our contractual obligations pursuant to Article 6 1 b) GDPR or our legitimate interests in answering and addressing your inquiry pursuant to Article 6 1 (f) GDPR.
Should you place a binding offer (e.g. using our online ordering system or a paper application) to enter into a contract for any of the products or services we offer, the information provided to perform the contract and fulfill the statutory and contractual obligations of SOLIT Management GmbH will be processed and used by TRESTA Treuhandgesellschaft mbH (“TRESTA”), An der Werft 5, 21680 Stade, Germany.

bb) Furthermore, we also process Data in order to deliver any brochures and/or application forms you have ordered. Such Data is processed on the basis of your consent pursuant to Article 6 1 (a) GDPR or to fulfill our precontractual or contractual obligations pursuant to Article 6 1 (b) GDPR.
cc) Data that is transmitted to the service provider Salesforce, Inc. in connection with the performance of the contract and handling of the application is securely stored on Salesforce servers in Germany (Frankfurt/Main). This Data is regularly mirrored in Paris for the exclusive purpose of data preservation.

d) Contact in connection with job applications
Should you establish contact with us for the purpose of submitting an application for employment by email or using a contact form, your Data (e.g. name, email address, desired work location – if supplied), your message and any documents submitted will be processed for the sole purpose of handling and managing your application. The main legal basis for this Data processing is Section 26 [German] Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Accordingly, the processing of such Data is admissible if the Data is required to make a decision concerning an employment relationship.
In the event that, subsequent to the end of the application process, i.e. for the purpose of prosecution, Data is required, it can be processed if such processing enables us to pursue our legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6 1 (f) GDPR, namely for the purpose of asserting claims or establishing a defense against claims.
e) Newsletter
To enable us to provide regular information on our company and our products, we offer to send you a newsletter. We process the Data you submit when registering for the newsletter (email address and other voluntary information). The newsletter is then transmitted in line with your consent pursuant to Article 6 1 (a) GDPR.
Newsletter registration functions according to the double-opt-in system. To prevent abuse, we send you an email after you have registered in which we request that you confirm your registration. To document the registration process in compliance with the legal requirements, your registration is logged. This entails storing the time of both the registration and confirmation, along with your IP address. We engage third-party providers to send out the newsletter and transmit the above-cited Data to them.

f) Customer account
If you create a customer account, you are granting your consent that your core data (name, address, email address, bank connection) and user data (user name, password) are stored. This enables us to identify you as a customer, and you are then able to manage your orders. This Data is processed based on your consent pursuant to Article 6 1 (a) GDPR .
g) Webinars
If you attend a webinar we have organized, we will process your participant Data. This Data will be processed based on your consent pursuant to Article 6 1 (a) GDPR or to fulfill our precontractual or contractual obligations pursuant to Article 6 1 (b) GDPR . When constructing our website, we engage the services of webinar providers in Germany to whom we transmit the above-cited Data.
h) Participation in contests
Should you choose to participate in any contests we organize, we will process the Data you have provided for this purpose: first and last names, email address, and, if provided, your address, company and telephone number. In addition, we process your Data for the purpose of making contact should you be among the winners. If you have been selected as a winner, we will ask you for your first and last names and your address for the purpose of delivering your prize if this Data was not previously made available during the registration phase. In any event, we will inform you of your prize in advance by email.
To facilitate the delivery of your prize, we will forward your first and last names and your address to the relevant shipping service. The processing of this Data serves the sole purpose of delivering the prize.
Transmission to third parties: In this context, we also transmit your address to the company commissioned with the delivery of the prize.
We process the Data you provide in connection with contests exclusively for purposes of the contest. This Data will be processed pursuant to Article 6 1 (b) GDPR.
i) Website analysis and marketing
To enable the use of certain functions, we deploy cookies, i.e. small data packets that are stored on your end device and shared with other suppliers. Some of the cookies we use are deleted as soon as you close your browser (session cookies). Other cookies remain on your end device and enable your browser to be re-identified at your next visit (persistent cookies).

bb) Google remarketing/retargeting
On our website we use tracking cookies from Google. When you visit our page, permanent cookies are created and stored that contain information on the sites visited, the IP address of the visitor, the length of the visit, other information on the use of the sites, and information as to the content that interests the user. During subsequent visits to partner sites, we can then show you ads that have been personalized to fit your interests, based on the articles you viewed on our site.
The Data we gather in this way is processed on the basis of your consent pursuant to Article 6 . 1 (a) GDPR. The information generated with the cookie regarding your use of the site (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there.

i) Integration of external content
We deploy external dynamic content to optimize the look and offerings of our website. When the site is visited, a request is automatically sent using an API to the server of the relevant content provider, in which certain log files (e.g. the IP address of the user) are transmitted. bb) Google Maps and Google Fonts
We use the map service “Google Maps” of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google“), to make an interactive map available to you. When the map is displayed, Data – including your IP address and location – is transmitted to Google servers in the United States and stored there. During such transmission, an adequate degree of data protection is ensured by the application of standard contract provisions. Furthermore, in order to ensure the uniform display of fonts on our websites, we deploy Google Fonts. These are uploaded from Google servers when the site is visited. During this process, Google does not store cookies in your browser. Based on our information, however, the IP address of the user’s end device is transmitted to Google servers in the United States and stored. During such transmission, an adequate degree of data protection is ensured by the application of standard contract provisions. cc) Friendly Captcha
We use the CAPTCHA service “Friendly Captcha” on our website to protect it from interactions with bots. When visiting the website, data including your IP address, referrer URL, information about your operating system, cookies, mouse movements and keystrokes, time spent on the site, and your device settings are transmitted. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in securing our website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

k) Use of event photographs and videos
During events, photographs and, in some cases, videos are created to ensure their pictorial documentation. Such photographs and videos are subsequently published on our website in the form of reports and news. Such data processing is in line with our legitimate interests pursuant to Article 6 1 (f) GDPR document and advertise the relevant event.
In all other cases, processing shall be subject exclusively to your prior consent pursuant to Article 6 1 (a) GDPR
C. Duration of Data storage
We store Data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, or until the consent you granted has been revoked. Given that there are statutory periods during which records must be preserved, the duration of storage can, for some Data, consist of up to 10 years, independent of the purpose of processing.
D. Your rights as a data subject
a) Information
You can request information at any time as to all the Data we have stored on you; this information is free of charge.
b) Correction, deletion, constraints on processing (blocking), appeal
Should you no longer agree to the storage of your personal data or should such Data no longer be correct, then – on your corresponding instruction – we will either have your Data deleted or blocked or perform the required corrections (if this is currently permitted by law). This shall also apply in the event that we are to limit the processing of Data in the future.
c) Data portability
Upon application, we will prepare your data in a standard, structured and machine-readable format, enabling you to transfer the data at will to other responsible parties.
